Architect Ottaviano Maria Razetto
Architect Ottaviano Maria Razetto, born in Parma in 1974, is the author of several architectural studies and projects prepared for Architectural Consulting. He graduated from the University of Parma in 2004 with a red diploma and with the title of a specialized architect. During his studies, he draw from his experience acquired from his cooperation with several renowned architects, such as Carlo Aymonino, Oriol Bohigas, Mario Botta, Guido Canella, Peter Eisenmann, Vittorio Gregotti. Herman Hertzberger, Aimaro Isola, Arata Isozaki, Carlo Lazzarini, Rafael Moneo, Carl Pickering, Paolo Portoghesi and Osvald Mathias Ungers.
In 2000 – 2006, he participated in a number of scholarships and consequently research fellowship programs throughout Europe but also in the United States of America.
In 2005, he became an honorable member of the Italian Chamber of Architects of the City of Parma. He has also been a member of the Czech Chamber of Architects since 2008.
As an admirer and lover of Czech architecture, he has conducted a number of his own surveys and exhibitions (exhibition “Secession in Prague, Art Nouveau and Cubism”, Parma – 1998, and also a publication called “Socialistic Realism in Czechoslovakia: 1948-1989”, Prague – 2009). He focuses on cohesiveness of historical and architectural elements as a part of renovations of historical buildings, new construction within the frame of whole urbanistic units and interior design solutions. He perceives a simple and, at the same time, elegant creation style as a “rich minimalistic style”. In his studies, he breaks away from nihilistic elements of current architecture and applies new lines, areas and forms, implementation of which is perceived as a new, continuously developing element.
